Collins, Philip G. (Covalent Materials, USA): Intrashell and intershell resistance of MWCNTs
Selective oxidation of SWNT ropes: oxidate only metallic tubes by turning off semiconducting tubes with a gate voltage.
MWNT shell by shell characterisation: removed the shells successively. Because conduction is through the outer layer. The shells are found to randomly alternate between metallic and semiconductor. Many of the shells are found to contribute to conduction at room temperature even in the low bias limit. As temperature is lowered, innermost shells are successively frozen out. The conduction is by thermally activated tunneling through the shells.
